Welcome to Part 2 of our 'Secrets of a Sun King' English scheme of work. Part 2 contains the concluding 6 weeks of the unit- which is a further 30 hours of English lesson plans and ALL the resources. The children start Part 2 by writing a predictive narrative at a pivotal part of the story. The children then progress onto learning about colons, semicolons, hyphens and passive verbs before writing a diary entry from Lil’s point of view about an unbelievable day in the Valley of the Kings.
The whole unit culminates in the children learning about the theories behind King Tutankhamun’s death: was he murdered or did he die from natural causes? Your class will present their ideas in one final piece of writing: a balanced argument.
